Automatic tracking needs a few Android settings. Please check each one:

1. Location → Allow all the time. Go to Settings → Apps → Mileage Minder → Permissions → Location.
2. Battery → Unrestricted. Go to Settings → Apps → Mileage Minder → Battery. Some phones (Samsung, Xiaomi, OnePlus) also have a "sleeping apps" list. Make sure Mileage Minder isn't on it.
3. Nearby devices and Notifications are allowed.
4. Your vehicle has a Bluetooth device or beacon selected, and Automatic tracking is on for that vehicle.
5. The persistent "Monitoring" notification is showing. If it's not, open the app once, or restart your phone.

A trip starts once your vehicle's signal is detected and GPS shows real movement. This keeps GPS drift in a parking lot from creating fake trips. A trip ends after about five minutes without movement, or about two minutes after your vehicle's Bluetooth or beacon disconnects. If a long stop split one drive into two trips, you can edit or delete them in the Trip Log.

If another vehicle's signal stays strong for about three minutes after the first one disappears, the app switches the trip to that vehicle. You can always change the vehicle on a trip afterward.

Make sure you're signed in with the same account in the app and at mileageminder.app. Trips recorded while offline sync the next time your phone is online.

On the sign-in screen, enter your email and tap Forgot password? and we'll email you a reset link. If you signed up with Google or Apple, use that button to sign in.

Open Reports and choose a date range. Then filter by vehicle, business, category, or tag, and export CSV or PDF. Each trip uses the mileage rate that applied on its date.

Yes. Export a CSV or Excel file from Driversnote, then use Import in Mileage Minder. You'll see a preview, match fields, and can undo the import.
